RWS Universal Studios Tour in Singapore

4 comments:
This is what you see when you arrive in Vivo City at around 11 am.

Yes, as early as 11am - tickets are already sold out in just a blink.
This happened just a few weeks when it finally opened March 2010.
Good thing, a fellow tourists told us to book online because we won't be able to catch ticket booths in Vivo City. So we did, thanks to them and to CC too.

Getting to RWS Universal Studios
Since the place we stayed is just near Farrer Park MRT Station, we rode there going to Harbourfront MRT station. From there, you can opt either Sentosa Express or RWS 8 Bus for a flat fee of S$2.00.

Sentosa Express is at the 3rd level (Lobby L) of Vivo City shopping mall while RWS 8 is outside VivoCity or Merrill Lynch HarbourFront.

What I really enjoyed is The Return of the Mummy experience. It's really a must!

Well, I describe it as a gentle ride.

I went to Megamall and dropped by a computer store when I noticed the laptop displayed had this wallpaper with a guy that I knew.. kinda familiar face.

Yes. I couldn't be mistaken!!

OMG!! Is that ... me ?!? or I'm just daydreaming?!
What the ?!!
How the ?!?

Oh, I was just daydreaming. :D Actually, I needed to have my lappy top check by the vendor because my battery drains so fast. Maybe they can replace it with a new one before my 1-year warranty expires. They pulled out the battery and told me I can get it back at about a month maximum. I do hope the new battery won't show off the same problems. :)

Well, there are just so many things ahead that's why here I go again, I may not update my pages once in awhile. I would have to apply for GLOBE Broadband so I'll have a connection at my new place. Hayyyzzz.. Anyways, that's all for now..

Three Blog of Appreciation

4 comments:
Well, its really fun to blog because you get to write things on your mind and share them to blogosphere. But it is also a nice feeling when someone just notices your existence.

In line with my upcoming 3-year blogversary, here are My Three Blog of Appreciation that I found on my treasure chest. I'm sharing them all to you..

1. I really din't know what to say when Manuel L. Quezon III's www.quezon.ph mentioned me on his blog post about Erap..

2. Actually, it wasn't my blog who was featured in Bohol Blog but the author. Yes, I became a one-time model for the post.. lol

3. Recently PusangKalye had his 2nd blog anniversary contest... It was a guessing game about a place he posted and I did get a chance of winning an original copy of BEING HAPPY-by Andrew Mathews.

My heartfelt thanks to all of you guys who gets to dropby to the Chronicles of Ardee. Let's keep sharing the love.. :)

Years of Residency

1 comment:
Three years ago, I was looking for a place where I could be freed from everything. That I alone will have my own space and can do everything I wanted to do without thinking what others would say.

And so I did !!!

It's my third year now on this two-bedroom apartment around the Grand City. Yey! I had a housemate, a common friend and just recently was my sister. I had a lot of memories in here that I will surely miss this place. Yes, you've heard it. I have decided to change my residence but not far this apartment. Actually its just the same street, hehehe.

Why I want this place?
Besides that I get the feeling of security and an ambiance away from the city, at the same time I also have full access to main keypoints here in the metro. One ride going to the financial capital of the Philippines - Makati. One ride going to Eastwood City, Libis until Cubao. One ride to Ortigas Business District and one ride to Greenhills Shopping Center in San Juan up to the old downtown, Quaipo. Others might have problems of its traffic abnormality, but I still believe there is nowhere in the metro that is causing no traffic at all.

About the new place I am eyeing is a one-bedroom apartment that looks more like a private house because of the tall gate and the structure itself. The other one is a two-bedroom condo type building. For me, the two different apartments would be just fine as long as I can get assurance from them the soonest possible time because my contract on my current place will end this month. I am praying though that the one-bedroom apartment will be the one for me because its more spacious than the two- bedroom, and I really like the ventilation. You still able to breathe fresh air. And also we have our own meter of water. (Yes, this is really important :P)

The two place is still under construction but not until September, there's only just a few finishing touches to be done. However, the land owners does not want me to give my reservation fee or my advance payment yet. This is where I am stuck. According to them, its really hard for them to commit since everything is not just prepared for occupancy and a lot of tenants are also piled up already.

I am still hoping I could move in to my new residence within this month. And soon, I'll be ready for my next plans. :)

What To Do When You Get Bored

No comments:
Bored ka na ba? Ikaw ba ay nalolongkot?! At wala ng magawa sa buhay?!

My younger brother asked me if I never get bored of just work-house-work again as seems to be my daily routine.

I just answered back, "Well, that's life!! We really need to work and keep it movin'."

Then he gave a soft follow up, "I think you barely have your social life? I mean do you go out or even drink?"

"I actually do. But at some point in your life, you really have to be this serious." I replied.

But here our the things I enumerated to him that I do when I get bored:

1. When I get bored, I usually go out for a movie with a friend.
2. I also engage myself to bondings, lunch out or dinner will do.
3. I travel.
4. Invite friends to drink at home.
5. Just chill somewhere. Coffee or videoke.

That's just all for now, besides I don't bore myself when I blog or do some rounds over the net, and to some social medias. :)

Panalo ka sa rambutan

No comments:
Some time last week my officemate offered me a fruit that gave me a date treat back in the past, rambutan.

It was an event on my first company, I was asked on the spot to join that dating game which I never thought I will ever join and win. Good thing, we had someone who will answer for us to hide our identity as searchers.

I couldn't pretty much remember all the questions but I can assure you, my front was really good on this. Even I, was kinda surprised with the answers his giving. I was like, okay, just answer it all for me.

The last question I thought gave the searchee had her idea whom to pick was, "If you were a fruit, what would it be and why?"

My front courageously answered, "I'm a rambutan! Well, judging by the looks, you might feel disgusted or something you wouldn't eat upon.. But sorry you, because if you never try, you will never know what sweetness is waiting inside.. :P"

Nephelium lappaceum or popularly known as rambutan came from the Malay word rambut meaning hairy caused by the 'hair' that covers this fruit.

After all the questions, the searchee has finally decided and whew!! she picked me. Everyone was just yelling and just went wild.

We just absorbed the crowd and enjoyed the gift checks to Delifrance. :)

Inception Weekend Bonding

My brother and I had a movie bonding this weekend at Shangri-la Plaza which we really enjoyed and kept us all night debating. The movie that buzzed the world -- almost got every positive reviews, kept on trending topics in Twitterverse for a long time and yeah, everyone else seems to be talking about it.

Its no other than Christopher Nolan's Inception starring Leonardo Di Caprio.

Well, I have to join everyone who have said everything good about it. Actually, I think I have no more words to say because they already did. This mind-boggling sci-fi thriller is surely a must-see film. I would have to agree with internet giant, Yahoo! that Inception is the best film of the year to-date.

SMS Categories

No comments:
The messages on my inbox never gets to a trash bin, I was so confident of my 8Gig memory card so about a thousand messages are just being kept. My phone is also used on my internet connection but its been weeks and I always have a poor connection. I don't know why, but before, I get too busy with this connection. I got bored and thought maybe because I'm using too much of the memory so I deleted all my messages but left some few under these categories:

APARTMENT
- this includes reminders and receipts of rental payments

BUSINESS
- orders, requests, appointments, transactions from the clients

GREETINGS
- greetings from every occasion, birthdays, Christmas, New Year and all the holidays :)

INVITES
- invitation to weddings, birthdays, bonding, party

JOKES
- just makes me laugh

MWAHUGSS
- the hugs and kisses from people I love

PERSONAL
- matters on life, everything personal

QUOTATIONS
- inspirational and motivational quotes

SPAMMERS
- wrong sent, text mates and unknown telling you won hundreds of thousands

TRAVEL
- messages from travel contacts on accomodations and transportation

WORK
- updates on work, meeting

I tried connecting again and it gave me a more sustainable and speedy connection. :) I dunno if its a coincidence or if its really the reason behind it.

Philippines Official Gazette Launched

6 comments:
Finally, the criticized government website, Gov.ph, have been renewed and improved using Wordpress Platform. It is recalled that weeks after PNoy took his inauguration, the government website still have former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on it and was subject to hacking.

Now, as simple and elegant it is, here is a glimpse of the new Gov.ph site..
Besides this Philippines website, there are also other government websites that I used and wished to be improved.

1. SSS - I have experienced a lot of abnormalities on this website even just trying to login. Most of the time, its down or it has system error.
2. DFA - I was trying to find the e-Passport System but link is broken and shows exception.

I just hope they update not only the websites mentioned. There are 302 out of 324 national government agencies that has their own websites. Technology is very helpful because it frees us from a lot of hassles but its also important to do updates all the time especially on the taxes, new policies or any information, so as not to confuse the Filipino users.

State of the Nation Address (SONA), PNoy's First

No comments:
I haven't watched the State of the Nation Address of President Noynoy yet but thanks to Blogags' Full Text Transcript of PNoy's first SONA, I was able to at least be aware of what the real status of our beloved Philippines is. His Excellency was able to spill out a few of his inherited problems from the previous administration and the steps he will take together with his cabinet members and encouraging all of us, Filipinos to overcome these problems by taking the right way.

Here are some points mentioned:
(1) Calamity Fund was budgeted 2 billion pesos and 60% of it already spent even if calamities have not yet happened
(2) MWSS payroll was prioritize against the pension of the retirees
(3) La Mesa Watershed
(4) DPWH's Motor Vehicle Users Charge fund
(5) NAPOCOR's debt which the government paid 200 billion pesos
(6) MRT was not guaranteed to pay back the operator so Landbank and Development Bank was asked to buy it
(7) NFA excessive supply on rice leads to rotten or spoiled rice

What can you say about the first state of the nation address by PNoy?

NOSI by Department of Health

2 comments:
Last week, I went to the province and noticed that the people from the bus terminal station in Cubao where so watchful to some smokers telling them the place is a non-smoking area. Even on some areas in the metro that I know of went to having 'No Smoking' signs. I was clueless why such acts.

That's when I realized that the Department of Health (DOH) have recently launched their NOSI (No to Yosi) campaign in Metro Manila.

There is a Tobacco Regulation Act (R.A. 9211) that will prohibit an individual in
"smoking in public places like hospitals and clinics, schools, elevators and stairwells, public facilities including airports and train stations, and food preparation areas."
And that the violators may be penalized with a fine of P10,000 or worst, their business permits and licenses to operate may be cancelled or revoked.

The public can take action on this by texting via Short Message System (SMS). Just send the keyword "NOSI" to 2256 and the sender will receive a confirmation message from the DOH. Or rather report by calling 661-3747 or logging on to www.nosi.com.ph.

The Legend of Korra: The Last Airbender Sequel for 2011

3 comments:
The much-awaited movie The Last Airbender by M. Night Shyamalan is now showing in Philippine Theaters nationwide.

I am all set and excited to see the movie with some friends. Though I have read and heard not-so-good comments about it, I would still want to see it for myself. Some said it was boring and some was not quite satisfied because it was all about water benders. Well, if so, I see another movie sequel for this, hopefully they continue the storyline that will be build on this now showing Last Airbender movie.

And yet even before I watched this movie, an update from Yahoo! News got me,
A sequel to Nickelodeon's "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is in the works.

The channel said Wednesday the new animated TV series will premiere in 2011. It has the working title, "The Legend of Korra."

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100721/ap_en_ot/us_tv_legend_of_korra
Rumors has it that Korra will be a girl and a waterbender. She will be the next avatar after Aang. Aang shall be her avatar mentor like how Roku was to Aang.

Wow, I think I'd be stuck for this animated series once again. Let's see... ;)

What Not's: 7 ways to annoy your blog readers

3 comments:
I was just doing my rounds in the blogosphere when I saw Llenov's post on things that annoy blog readers (http://eripples.blogspot.com/2010/07/25-things-that-annoy-blog-readers.html). I realized that some of the things he listed have already took part on my experiences and that somewhere over the net someone is bragging about the same. Well, I also read blogs and there are just some things that annoys me too..

1. Errr... the Music!
You're in your room on a silent night and you don't have any idea how high the volume of your speaker. Suddenly you stumble on some page and proved it with a screaming loud noise. You feel thrilled and go crazy looking for the window causing the noise but hopelessly you just closed the page.

2. Once you Pop-ups, it never stops
Pop-up windows really gets annoying when opening a page and some other pages would follow there after and you just don't know where it came from.

To some, even the nth most popular outgoing link annoys them because it's demoralizing to them when they came in last.

3. Pages are Forever.. not the diamonds.
Count 1..2...10 until forever but the whole page you are trying to visit is not yet loaded. Count 1..2.. and just exit and try other web sites.

4. No About Me, you to find out
I am amazed of how great the post and pages were delivered. Its like you feel the author and you want to know who did that winning post/page however you're left with wandering whoever it is.

5. Turn off comments, turn off readers
I badly want to react on a post because I can very well relate to it. I wanted a chance to speak up, but you never gave me. Have I thought the essence of blogging is that bloggers and readers can communicate but then, you just turned me off and made me feel sad.

6. Loooong Blog Posts
So where are we going? How long is long? If it’s going to take forever to say it, then just break it. Create a series.

7. Duh your Background/Design/Layout
They say, "Don’t judge a book by its cover” but the problem is you have overlapping images, you overdo some designs, your background is eye-sickening and I really can't help it.

I also don't have anything against any blogger as I am also guilty of some of them too. Just wanna figure out things so that I can help my blog to not to annoy blog readers.

How bout you? What could annoy you?

Daniel Radcliffe from Wizard to Lawyer

No comments:
Daniel Radcliffe who has been the wizard that is Harry Potter is confirmed to star in a movie based on novel by Susan Hill, The Woman In Black.

Turn off RSS for Sony Ericsson C903

No comments:
I got hold of my Sony Ericsson C903 and pressed some buttons and I now have an RSS logo with a tick through it at the top of my screen. I have no idea what it will cost me nor how to get rid of it.

I went online to check it and I found C903 support from Sony Ericsson:

Umuungol na Gabi

No comments:

portions of Laguna (Canlubang, Calamba, Lisp); Ternate, Cavite; Sta. Maria and Meycauayan Bulacan, and; portions of Metro Manila including Balintawak, Diliman, Kaybiga, Bagbaguin and Quezon City, among others.

Sana okay kayong lahat diyan...Be safe lang lagi. ;)

Masaya Pag Masikip

2 comments:

Masaya Pag Masikip: Walang Kupas na Dyip

No comments:

No comments:

Bigla itong nahiya at natatawang kwinento samin.

No comments:
Tulak dito at tulak doon.

Sabi nga ni Manilenyo in Davao, "Sana may Pila… mas maayos, mas maganda.. may disiplina. Pag di maayos, Parang wala TAYONG pinag-aralan niya."
